About Indie Hunt
Why I Built This

I'm Adam, 29, originally from Wisconsin. I live in Denver, Colorado with my wife Mikaela and our dog Gina. I work as a software engineer at GEICO. Been coding since 2015, got into game dev in 2021.
I do a lot of game jams and I always thought it sucked that most jam games just get buried after the voting ends. Someone spends a whole weekend making something cool and then it sits on itch.io with 3 views forever.
So I made this and launched it on December 6th, 2024. It's basically just a place to put your jam game where people might actually see it. Plus there's a small monthly prize because why not.
Not a startup, not trying to make money. Just thought this should exist.
How It Works
People post their games. Other people upvote. Most upvotes at the end of the month wins. That's literally it.
Voting is straightforward:
- - One vote per person per game
- - Vote counts are public
- - Can't buy votes or pay for visibility
- - Whoever has the most upvotes wins
Adding Your Game
1. Make an account (just email)
2. Upload a screenshot, write a description, paste your itch.io link
3. Done
You can share it on Twitter or whatever, or just leave it here. Up to you.
The Prize
Winner each month gets a $50 Steam gift card. Not life-changing but hey, free games.
Also your game goes on the Champions page permanently. And I might reach out about doing a podcast episode if that sounds fun to you. No pressure though.
Rules
- - One game per person per month
- - Has to be your own game (no stolen stuff)
- - Can't edit after publishing
- - Link has to work
- - Each month is a fresh competition (games from previous months go to the archive)
- - Tie-breaker: If two games have the same upvotes, the earlier submission wins
About vote integrity:
I manually check for suspicious activity. If something looks off (sudden vote spikes, obvious bot accounts, etc.), I investigate. Accounts that appear to be gaming the system get removed. I want this to be fair for everyone.
Got a game? Throw it up here.
